Jose M. Berenguer, III
President of J.M. Berenguer & Associates, Inc.. Mr. Berenguer is a member of the Florida Bar; a Florida Department of Insurance Licensed Property & Casualty, Life and Health Agent, and a former Certified Health Care Risk Manager.
Mr. Berenguer has extensive experience in health and insurance law, particularly in the areas of health maintenance organizations and managed care related matters, including obtaining Certificate of Authority, Medicaid and Medicare Risk Contracting, Regulatory Compliance, Provider Contracting, Mergers and Acquisitions. He is a frequent lecturer in the areas of Managed Care and Risk Management, and was the primary author of, "How to Resolve Grievances with an HMO", published 1993 by the Florida Bar.
Jose M. Berenguer, III, obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida International University in 1979 and earned his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School of New Orleans in 1982. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1982, admitted to the General and Trial Bar for the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida, a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, a member and former Director of the Cuban American Bar Association, a member and former Vice Chairman of the Managed Care Division of the Florida Bar Health Law Section.
